As I drove through the province to Hinton, Alberta, I passed spring blossoms that became a blur of violet and yellow. Rather than painting clumps of colour, I chose to make them stripes with the goal of creating a meditative painting.

Clumps of Spring flowers become stripes, snow on the mountains, rocks become triangles all to evoke the heady excitement of the snow-capped view.
